This year, Remembrance day falls on a Sunday, so there’s bound to be a big attendance at the Cenotaph. The service begins at 10:45am, with the observation of one minute silence at 11 am. Remembrance Day (11 November) marks the anniversary of the armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18). Each year Australians observe one minute silence at 11 am on 11 November, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. Even if you’re not planning to attend the event, please stop what you are doing at 11:00 to remember.
